Call me daft but I keep going back to Arnold Clark for some reason. NEVER AGAIN.
Everytime I have had any of the cars I bought from them put in for service/MOT there has always been a fault that has occurred not long afterwards.
My most recent jaunt to Bishopbriggs, Glasgow branch was to get my used cars 1st MOT/service (service free! under deal)I knew the brakes were squealing everytime I reversed so mentioned this and low behold bill for replacing rear brake discs/pads totalled £400>. Thats fine but noticed on paperwork from previous owner hidden in amongst all the paperwork in the car that this had been noted prior to them trading the car in. So it seems when you trade your car in AC depreciate the capital on your car but don't fix the problem!
After 2 weeks brakes still squealing so took it back, was told nothing wrong! the type of brakes that are on the car all that needs to be done to take this away is when washing the car with jet spray, spray directly onto brakes as it is just a pile up of dust!!!!
Absolutely detest AC not only because of the above but for all the other things that go along with pressurising you into buying a car from them, lack of customer service on previous occasions etc. etc. etc.
Not only have I had a bad experience but everyone I talk to about them experiences the exact same problems. a friend had same problems with brakes paid £500 and had the car checked over by a mechanic not with AC after AC supposedly replaced them. Guess what they hadn't been replaced.
