It was not the cheapest quote but went with it as I though AA would be a good company. The papers came through and the excess was £300. Phoned and argued with the manager but they are taking advantage of some technical terms difference between voluntary excess and compulsory excess.
Cancelled the policy even though I had to pay £ 35 as I don't want to be insured with cheaters.
