I felt i had to write this review in response to the pompus scarepongering reviews which i read prior to going to Pontins Camber Sands. To be honest after reading the reviews, i was not looking forward to the holiday. This i found to be unfair and unrealistic of the camp's facilities once i had arrived (July 19th 09). If you pay for 'budget accomodation,' expect just that. But to be honest, who pays to spend their holiday in their accomodation anyway? Yeh its basic, but its got a bed and its clean so whats the big deal. The facilities and entertainment are fantastic for both adults and children! I feel people who have negative comments on this site, have not found their legs and gone for a good walk around and seen what Pontins and the surrounding area has to offer. It has go karts, rock climbing, abseiling, bungee bouncing, a very large childrens park, and adventure playground, amusements, and all day entertainment for all the family, as well as fantastic evening entertainment. Whether its dance competitions for ths children or pub quizzes in the queen vic. The blue coats are the unsung heroes as well, full of energy and motivation. The local beach is brill with a top class pub next to it, and if you go further afield to Rye or Hastings, they are well worth the visit. Having been used to a large budget and grande holidays after reading the reviews i have never dreaded a holiday so much. Like i said completely unfare and unjust! You will have a great time if you dont wanna just sit in and watch TV!

    i agree we had a great time my daughter is a blue coat there and you are right they work their socks off i am fed up of reading bad reviews some people need to get a life!!!!!

    I agree we had a lovely time, the blue coats are amazing no matter how late they work during the night they are up the next day running the activties how they do it i don't know. But it is clean and the staff are really helpful
