Having been a customer of all the big four banks at some stage and having moved in frustration at poor levels of service from Barclays, HSBC and Natwest I have maintained my business relationship with lloyds TSB for the following reason:
They have a manager who understands my business and when I need to borrow money they generally act quickly to meet my requests. I can live with the charges because I understand they are in business like me and Im not a charity myself. Some of the comment I've read are clearly from ppl who don't understand how to run a bank account and would face problems anywhere. I had to laugh at the guy who posted "they bounced my cheque when i didn't have the funds" well what were you expecting???
In summary the service i have experienced has always been good and whilst other banks have offered the same levels of support to my business they have been slow to respond to my requests and this caused my business to lose deals. LloydsTSB has often been my business saviour.
