It was at times, a chilling read and although the storyline is a bit far-fetched, there is a lot that is purposly written to leave you thinkging about. Koontz writes with creativity and flair and this book is not much different from his other novels although this is a bit more mystery and fantasy than the others - think a bit of Terry Pratchett and Agatha Christie esscence added to his usual books.

Darkness Comes is a great read and although nothing usual by Dean Koontz is a great bit of something different that makes a nice change. As it is not as new as some of his other books, it can probably be picked up at discount price at a second-hand bookstore or garage sale. Great read - definatly reccomended.
