Came back from Sherwood Centre Parcs on 17th July 2009. Stayed in a stinking comfort plus villa. We complained daily about the smell which varied from rotten milk smell in the kitchen to cat wee smells in the bedrooms. Villa was not that clean - carpet was very dirty. Only plus was that the beds were comfortable. Someone did come round every day to try to get rid of the smell, to no avail. We eventually got a small refund for the inconvienience, but by then the holiday had been spoiled.
Food ok but not for the price we paid - expensive. We did not book any activities as we felt that they were overpriced and not good value for money at all. we enjoyed the swimming pool but would think twice before spending nearly £1000 for 4 days in smelly poor accommodation!

    I found this review very helpful because.I totally agree with the comments. We paid over £800 to stay at Centre Parcs Sherwood Forest and our villa also stank of cat urine in the bedroom. We also complained and were told it was 'the scent of the forest after a damp winter' (we went in August) Two cleaners eventually came and attempted to remove the stench with febreeze and air freshener. Of course, it masked the smell for all of a couple of hours. They fobbed us off every day with more air freshener and shake n vac type preoducts but the smell was so bad it made your eyes water and was unbearable. We were given a bottle of wine and box of chocolates as a sweetener. Would NEVER go back. We have been to longleat 4 times previously and never experienced anything like this. Would NOT recommend Sherwood forest to my worst enemy.
