Took out a virgin moey credit card over a year ago, purely as a 0% deal and transfer from my paypal credit card. This card is actually a MBNA card and sadly that is where the problem lies. Virgin, or actually MBNA, insist in sending me UNSOLICITED CREDIT CARD CHEQUES, folk may be aware of the recent governmental changes to the way these cheques are issued, in particular the preasure on the card holder to stay out of debt. These cheques also contain all the details a credit card scammer needs to comit identity fraud. I wrote to ask that virgin did not send me further cheques, but still they come. I transfered my ballance to a MBNA card, before i realised that virgin was MBNA, and now receive unsolicited cheques from both virgin and MBNA. I rang to cancel the Virgin card and was told that they would transfer my £7000 credit limit to my new MBNA card, thus trying their best to encourage me to get further into debt. At its worst, I was getting 2 letters from each card a week(MBNA and virgin money) with four credit card cheques enclosed. All it would take is one of these letters to get into the wrong hands and I would be in troube. I plan to trafer my ballance to a more reputable provider and cancel both cards when the current % deal ends.
