AVOID ORDERING FOR DELIVERY. I completed (and paid) an online order for delivery .
Then after 20 minutes I received a message on my voicemail saying that they did not have my address for delivery. So I phoned back and also mentioned that I had provided my full address online (it is required for the order), so I thought there was a glitch on their online ordering application. Anyhow, I thought it was sorted. But to my surprise and outrage, 5 minutes later, the Pizza Hut phoned me to say that they had realized my order was for collection, not delivery. I argued I had placed the order for delivery (but as I had already closed down my laptop and it was my first online order with Pizza Hut) I was not sure. The Pizza Hut employee insisted adamantly, that I had placed my order for collection, and he cheekily repeated and explained that if it said TO COLLECT, then it was for Collection, and then he added that they do not deliver for 7.99, and he repeated that amount, so as to make me feel cheap for having ordered an offer. Well, I was surprised and upset, and although I suspected it was kind of a nasty joke, I could not be bothered to escalate the issue, and I was hungry, so I said that I was sorry if I had made a mistake in my order, but that please I needed it delivered. So after my pleading, he conceded that for this time he was going to deliver it, but not next time. I guess that gave that guy great satisfaction. He had humbled and teased me.
Obviously I later checked my order, and it turned out I had correctly placed it as delivery, not collection. I find their lack of respect and appalling service is unacceptable.
