Just changed my car, so as my old car insurance policy only had a month to run (with hastings) i decided on a new 12 month policy again with hastings.
Took out the new policy with hastings and canceled the old policy,then in July £300 was taken from my bank account by hastings, when i questioned this they said it was an Automatic Renewal service everyone was using.
I have been offered £250 cash back (£50 they keep for 1 months insurance) even on a cancelled policy. So after many phone calls, some of which hastings staff hung up on me, i am still fighting for my full refund.

Not a company to trust, in this economic downturn a company chooses to take money from customers through automatic renewals.

    This isn't the only company which chooses to automatically renew, I know lots of insurance companies who do this. Usually you need to read the policy booklet and renewal documents which do say that the policy will be renewed.
