Started taking Champix on 19 July 2009, have been smoking for approx 30 years, approx 30 roll ups per day, tried to quit on two previous occassions, cold turkey first time, NRT second time. Now here is the amazing bit, quit day was going to be 27 July 2009, but quit on 21 July 2009, as just did not feel the need to smoke anymore. Had slight nausea for 10 minutes with first tablet, no other side affects, Iam determined to do this, advise anybody to give Champix a try, wish me luck.

Started champix and by day 10 stopped smoking. had some mild side affects like stomach cramps and sick feeling. week 6 onward suffered a lot of mouth ulcers which were not to do with the tablets but were because of stopping smoking, oh also thought I had a cold due to coughing and a sore throat but again was due to stopping smoking. Its now been 4 months and i stopped the tablets 4 weeks ago. It has been so easy yet i smoked 20 a day for 20 years. Champix have to be worth a try if you can put up with some of the side affects
