This is the worst banking experience I have ever had.
A&L operate an security system that prevents the account holder from transferring money out unless they are able to take an authorising call from the bank at any time during the 30 days notice, even after fullfilling normal telephone security checks on making the request backed up by written request. If the authorising call from the bank is missed, they cancel the transfer and you have to start all over again with a new 30 day notice period. It is no godd calling the bank - the call must come from them. Too bad if you are out the day they choose to call you!
Even when the transfer is approved, it can take 10-14 working days after the notice period expires for the transfer to be placed and then there is the additioanl 3-5 working days before the funds appear in the transfer account.
This happend on the two occasions that I tried to transfer funds out of the account.
I will NEVER bank with A&L again.
