The best car in its class.. reliable, inexpensive to run, cheap to insure, easy to drive, a doddle to work on.. and the list goes on. If regularly serviced, a Micra can easily run for more than 15 years / 150,000 miles. Huge improvements made in the K11 (the 'Bubbly' Micra).
K10 (up to 1993) is not very refined and cabin noise is not very impressive but K11 is surprisingly smooth and quiet.
Micras are the best city cars around, giving a decent drive on motorways and long routes as well. All they want is regular oil & filter change (5k miles) and timing (cam) belt replacement (60k miles), and they can easily last for 15+ years / 150k miles. Reliability is next to nothing.. they hardly ever refuse to start every morning, even during winter. Easiest car to work on and lots of things to do for the DIY enthusiast. Many Micra owners and fans have their own excellent web sites and the creation of a Micra Club is on its way.
