I insured online with AA Car Insurance last year at a cost of £130. To their credit, they did not try to automatically renew the policy as many other brokers do, but their renewal quote was £250, and this was before I had declared that I had a fine a 3 points for speeding. So I got quotes on line from £124 upwards, and the AA's quote was £136, but the next day when I retrieved my quotes this had mysteriously risen to £221. I emailed them for an explanation. They said they would reply within 72 hours. I still haven't had a reply. I accepted a quote of £180 based on that company's better than average reviews. I wish I had read the reviews before using the AA last year.
