I'm just about to receive the keys to my Persimmon home. Be warned, they changed the look of the house without telling me. It is in the missives that they can do this but I now have a different looking house from the rest of the development so they can save money - they removed the stone features and replaced them with brick. They told me this was because of a defect in the stone then proceeded to build further properties in the development with this stone!! Trying to save money me thinks!!!!! The inside is lovely so it is a shame to have the experience ruined by this.

    i just moved in to one of their hell homes please check that sinks are fixed to walls ... mines are stuck on with sealer, check your cooker hood mine was not connected to the vent, check your gas tap if you have a gas cooker.. mine was hooked on to the main gas pipe and heater.. check if you have insulation in internal walls mine are all hollow ( remove a wall socket you should see yellow insulation) check you have isolation valves on your taps ... non return valve on external tap... check your electricity does complies with regs ie kitchen ring main seperate from remainder garage on isolater. my kitchen garage and ground floor all on one main.
    check your stop values for the hot water tank as mine snapped off flooding the ground floor cealing ... ooops you only get two years to report faults..
