I have been a customer with Orange since moving from PAYG to Contract, which was nearly 7 years ago I suspect. During this time I have found Orange's services and offerings to have improve considerably.
Now with the best plan reviews, you can be certain that you are on the best tariff that suits your mobile phone usage. In addition to this, being a long standing customer has it's benefits, including discounted line rental and cheaper insurance.
The Orange insurance has been invaluable. I lose at least one phone per contract period and have never had a problem getting a new one. At £5 per month this is something that I will not be giving up.
Orange Wednesday's at the Cinema is a great idea. If you are a regular at the Cinema and the offer is available near you, then this really is a great saving, and one that I would say is more useful than the 02 gigs offer.
Customer service has always been good in the rare occasions that I have had to contact them.
Two gripes I have had recently. The first is signal strength. In the last few years I have lived in 2 properties where I have been unable to get a signal, alarmingly these areas are not what you would consider remote. As you can imagine this is quite frustrating and almost led me to leave.
Secondly, due to a problem with the direct debt, I had to make a one of payment, of which I decided to use the Orange control panel on orange.co.uk. It turns out that payments made through this system take 5 days to clear, as opposed to done over the telephone which are instant. This left me without phone service for longer than I would have hoped.
