I've had my Pioneer 508XD for two years. It wasn't an easy decision, and I certainly put hours and days of research into it. The Pioneer plasma 508XD is simply an amazing piece of kit. In fact, i can't recommend the whole Pioneer range enough!

Put simply, its all about the blacks. The 50inch 508XD really shines when delivering the blacks and contrasts, especially when watching a movie in HD. Like with most Plasma's straight out of the box, this one certainly needed a lot of tweaking and optimising. Once the pixels have settled you can sit back and enjoy.

Having a Pioneer isn't like walking into Dixons or Currys and buying a commercially prepared Samsung or Panasonic Plasma off the shop floor. With a Pioneer, in my opinion, you're going up a level in terms of quality. The Pioneer 508XD model I have, doesn't even have speakers... it's not supposed to. Your buying a plasma with the emphasis on picture quality only, and you're expected to have a pretty decent sound system in place to compliment it.
