I purchased two of these Pet Zone Cuddle n' Carry pet carriers and I'm sorry I did. They are heavy and bulky. If you have a car, they'd work fine but if you have more than one cat and anything else to carry, they are impossible. They are much heavier than the traditional hard sided carriers and they don't allow as much ventilation as the traditional models either. They are very heavy duty. The only way to carry them is with the "picnic basket style" handles. This works fine for a picnic basket but not for a carrier with the added weight of a cat inside.

I suspect the reason they are difficult to find is that they didn't sell well. I'm not at all impressed with the design and was very disappointed. They were $40 a piece plus shipping on ebay. Since the shipping is so expensive, even if the ebay seller will take them back, I've decided to just donate to a local cat shelter.

I've used the Sherpa carriers in the past and the one I had held up great except that the frame did seem to collapse a bit with kitty inside. But, they have a whole line of well made carriers. I think my next carrier will be the Sleepypod. It's quite expensive but can be used as a cat bed, has a great design, is well made and safe for kitties traveling in the car. You can also carry it by the soft handles or padded shoulder strap. It looks like the champagne style pet carrier but seems it will last a lifetime.

If you're interested in the picnic style carrier, please try to see it in person before you buy. It wasn't very bright of me to purchase both at once. I wish I'd tried one because I never would have gotten the second. Money out the window! There's nothing "cuddly" or easy to "carry" about the Pet Zone Cuddle n' Carry pet carrier!
