Transfered money from my business account to my private savings account with Abbey National aswell and then was not able to withdraw my money . When i called the customer help line i was told that a " hold " had been placed on the account as it was under the suspition of fraud and that to lift the hold i had to go to my local branch with photo id . I did this and was told that somebody had tried to pay money into my account and because of this it would have to be closed . OK , no problem i will just open a new one . I was then informed that i would never be allowed to open another account with them . Somebody you dont know tries to pay money into your account and the abbey treat you like a criminal . 20 + years of banking with them to be treated like this .
