After reading the reviews on Ionian Sea View Apartments, I was pretty worried. However, upon arrival it actually didn't seem that bad! We got into our room in D block which had no balcony...hmm, went inside and darted straight for the bathroom. Brown curtains that were supposed to be white, brown water in the toilet . Damp loo roll and a wardrobe that smelt of p*ss. Outside we had direct access to the sea but it smelt like fart most of the time. They should REALLY invest in mesh nets to keep the mosquitos at night. You either get bitten to death or you get cooked.
Staff were friendly enough, bar food was quite expensive, we always headed to nearby 'Elli's pool bar' for a nice filling english breakfast for a decent 4 euros.
The pool was nice enough, seemed quite clean to me. The hotel food wasn't that nice, the chicken was so salty I could have sworn I was near death. One of the staff, I don't know her name, was pretty rude...but the rest were cool.
The location is alright, but I hated walking at night to the clubs...there appeared to be loads of wild dogs and alarmingly skinny cats roaming the streets at night. One of them was bold enough to jump on our window ledge one night...
Overall..for people my age group (18-24) who love to rave all day and night...it's a good place to go, plenty bars and clubs to choose from. If you're looking for a nice family holiiday...you don't want to come here...trust me. Youngsters all around, bold and annoying as you like!
