I can not believe what BMI are doing with the rip off £30.00 for a bag that they "check " at the gate just before you board. I used a bag that I always use (within their dimensions) I was first through the gate. The delightful lady ( NOT ) decided it didn't fit in the cage didn't give me chance to try very hard to be honest. The dispatch guys said to me "it's a total con love". I had to pay £30 or leave the case basically. Ironically no-one took it off me it to put it in the hold until I asked on the plane . I told the cabin crew at the top of the steps she couldn't believe I couldn't bring it on as she said it was half the size if the ones coming on the plane. Funnily enough though it was perfectly fine goung back. I'm a regular flyer and will never ever use BMI again . BEWARE !! RIP OFF. I'm formally complaining to them hope they see it was their error.
