We saw B+Q kitchen designer for a short while - he was late and had to leave early to get home to look after kids so his wife could go to work! In the end we modified his design. Several calls from company about delivery with a letter offering 2nd May and a call offering 2nd June.On 2nd June the driver called to say he couldn't deliver due to bumpy road. Dust cart comes every week - no problem. Asked local store to take delivery and we would hire van to collect - agreed. Telephoned driver and his supervisor wouldn't let them deliver to store (or driver couldn't be bothered). Kitchen travelled to Croydon from south coast to return to distribution centre while our fitters waited. B+Q nitified that kitchen would take about 5 days and not sure exactly when. Next day at my request the local store sent driver to collect from Croydon and deliver to us. They did try to be helpful but the driver said he was not asked to deliver to us, just to collect and took kitchen back to local store(passing the end of my road) and left in van all night while we were waiting for delivery. Driver arrived early next morning and reversed into and broke off gate post. Some items damaged and some missing. Cabinets are not pilot drilled and there is a huge amount of work to assemble. It has taken a ridiculous amount of time to fit. Drawer dividers absolute rubbish, fall apart every time you open drawers and some of the fixings are completely inadequate. We had to put on additional brackets. We are still waiting for missing parts and replacements for damaged items and no apology or further contact. This is a Cooke and Lewis kichen. Go to Howdens - they have to be better than this. Maybe the warning signs were there at the start but I wanted the tall cupboards not available from Howdens but I would have sacrificed that, had I known. Half way through the delivery saga I contacted Howdens and they could deliver next day!
