My father was ill in india and they needed money within 3 days. I used to send money directly to my father's account through Xoom service. What i needed to do is just click on authorize button after going to my xoom account because i already saved all account information their. This time I did the same thing but after clicking authorize I found My father's account detail automatically omittted and transaction processed though home delivery (which cost 8 USD). This was not end of the story, after 3 days i got a mail that their is no courier service of their partner at my location so they send it through indian registered post which has no tracking ID. its been more than 10 days..money is still somewhere in between. I am a student so dont have lot of money with me but i had to send money again through some other service. When i tried contacting xoom customer care i found their representatives are very uneducated. They dont know how to talk and what to do. They take 5 minutes in verifying your name and they repeat the same thing again and again as if they have a piece of paper with them where answer of all important questions are written. I think their are only two of them receive the phone and rest of them go for some tea or coffee. you will always listen from them "I apolozige for your inconvinience but as a customer care representative we ca do nothing".
