I used super sun in spray for about 10 years, loved it as i have dark brown hair and was the only hair dye that dyed it the shade of blonde it advertised, but it is a gradual thing, you cant put one application on dark hair and expect it to lighten straight away. The best way to see the results is to blow dry it and re-apply it a few times, it would take me about 30mins of re-applying it to get the results i wanted, but it does sting if you do it this way, i was fine with the sensation but i had friends who thought it hurt too much. If you dont want dramatic highlights or stinging, and you prefer the natural graduation over weeks of using a little then i would strongly suggest letting it dry in the sun but it wont show much the first time used.

Unfortunately, after using it for 10 years, and even though i used conditioner and serums ect I found it did make my hair react like elastic and some of it broke off. I instantly changed to garnier nutrese extra light camomile number 10 and that blended in beautifully with the sun in, it was a shade darker but it didnt notice and i didnt have any problems mixing the two dyes in my hair and i have hair down to my waist. I now use that to lighten my hair for a few months and every 4 months or so i will use sun-in just to lighten a few highlights in it and my hair is in alot better condition, no longer elasticated and ive got the perfect colour. But, do not use swartzkopt dye, i used the blonde one and that did not blend well, or fade and made the roots look greeney blonde next to the other blonde shade, Im still growing that one out a year later..
