We flew from the UK to Toronto in Club Class and were very impressed with the in-flight service and food. We are used to flying business class with BA, Air Canada, et al, but the don't even come close to the excellent customer service, and in some cases the quality of the food that we received on Air Transat.
Granted, the seating really is 'Economy Plus' as the seat pitch is only 35" however I'm over 6 Feet but found the seats sufficiently comfortable and was able to stretch my legs fully.
The quality of the food, its presentation was definitely on par (if not better) than the major flag-carriers but it was enhanced by the cabin crew who went out of their way to make the flights pleasant and enjoyable.
In-flight entertainment falls behind major airlines however there was a massive flat screen in the cabin which, I would argue, is as good as the individual screen that you get elsewhere. The choice of 3 films and viewing times was out of our hands but it did it's job as far as I'm concerned.
We will definitely be using Air Transat's club class again.
