Streamline.net Dedicated Hosting

When we started with Streamline in 2007 they were good value for money and provided a reliable service. However in the last year the service has deteriorated to the point where we are now planning to move away. Earlier in the year they had an out of date credit card on file and suspended the account. We updated this immediately and they charged the new card but it took them 5 days to get the server back online. Even thought the service is now paid through until November, we received an email yesterday saying there was an accounting issue and the service was suspended. We have spoken to them and emailed them but we are still waiting.

There seems to be an issue with dedicated hosting where they refuse to offer telephone support and ask us to submit a support ticket. Answers to these tickets can take several days and there is no recourse. They have a complaints procedure which apparently requires 14 days for a response. It's sadly clear that this company is unable to maintain acceptable levels of support for commercial customers and should not be considered a serious solution. This is a clear example of the statement, "you get what you pay for".
