We have had so many problems with Hunters Estate Agents it's untrue. They have very regular inspections that usually occur when you at work. I have had damage to my property and because both the landlord and Hunters have keys cannot prove who is at fault. There is a major damp problem in the property that we rent and Hunters will do nothing about it apart from tell us to keep the down stairs windows open all the time. Which is a open invite for a burglar. There staff are very unprofessional and badly trained. We will never ever choose Hunters again!

At Hunters we pride ourselves on the level of importance we give to inspecting our Landlords properties. There are some tenants that do not want us to but it is clearly set out in the tenancy agreement. Many lettings firms do not carry these out regularly but promise their Clients that they will and as a result tenants who then move to one of our properties find that, because we are efficient in doing this, it is wrong. We would imagine that every one of these tenants would be most dissapointed if we didn't do this with their property if we were managing it. We look to carry out an inspection every 3 - 4 months, if we have to do it more regularly then there is generally a good reason for this. We are open from 09:00 to 18:00 and so inspections will occur during these hours which is most peoples working day, for this reason it is difficult to avoid but there is no need for a tenant to be present, clearly they are very welcome to be if they wish.
The issue is not damp but condensation, this occurs because there is no circulation of fresh air through the property therefore windows need to be kept open. Most windows have locks on them to prevent burglary, but in this instance, whilst we do not know what the address is, from what the writer suggests it apears to be a house and therefore the upstairs windows can be left slightly ajar and on the lock mechanism.
We welcome this write to contact us and discuss this matter in detail with the Director.
