investdirect is not even part of hsbc - as one would think - transfer of funds between an hsbc account and the service takes 3 days minimum. the service seems overall dated and not at all useful for day trading. the helpline or even to order via phone is mostly a lengthy process of waiting even outside trading hours. that the online service brakes down a lot makes that even worse. personally i had experienced that an online order wasn't carried out at the set level and i had been double charged on 1 occasion the money was refunded after 1 week but still it makes one wonder.
