The Crosman American Classic pump pistol is a good gun for the price. Yes, there's a lot of cheap plastic, and the trigger is rough and a long pull and needs tuning, etc., but the barrel is accurate, the power plant is reliable, and the potential for modification can make it not just more personal, but a much better gun. You can look at it as a very economical gun to plink around with as is, or as the basic starting point for customization. Just remember: In the end, one way or another, you have to expect that you'll end up getting only what you're willing to pay for...
