I've flown dozens of airlines to hundreds of destinations overtime. I may be inwardly biased being Canadian, but I've yet to find a similar caliber of airline to Air Canada through my years in business.

There are maybe 2-3 others that surpass it in my mind (Cathay, Kingfisher and Singapore) but few offer flights outside of Asia so I'm limited to the Western and European selection which is lower standard to begin with.

However, given my experiences, I've consistently had a pleasant experience with Air Canada. That being said, there have been disappointments, but the crux of air travel is that it is rarely pleasant. Here are the top 3 reasons why I enjoy Air Canada:

1. In flight & on demand video on every seat: the vast majority of their planes have this, and its a blessing for long-haul flights. Many have Plugs also for laptops.

2. Quality of planes: Their fleet I feel is fairly new, outside of a few of the older regional jets, but I feel quite safe and satisfied with the airplane quality.

3. Consistent good service: Notice I didn't say great service, because I have had poor experiences. But, on average it has been fairly good.

Cons: 1. Price, 2. Delays, 3. Limited destinations.
