I've used Hertz several times in different countires and they supply one of the most inconsistent services of any rental company. Cars delivered to my home have never arrived when they are supposed to, either very late or way to early - to the extent of a day early in one case. Request gps and it may or may not be there - depends on which brand supplies the car, although Hertz can't be bothered to tell you which branch will supply it. Mind you, when it comes the gps is often faulty. UK Hertz is worse than US Hertz, and that's pretty erratic. Expensive, unreliable, unhelpful. Never use them - go Avis or Thrifty.
