I will never get insurance with Diamond again, they are an absolute waste of time and money to say the least. I had fully comp insurance and got stung big time by the excess when I had to make a claim for something that wasn't my fault.
Just over a year ago I had my lovely immaculate VX220 sports car vandalised, where it was slashed all over with a knife, including all four tyres. I was told which approved company it had to go to for repairs. No arrangements were made for a courtesy car and when I contacted Diamond, I was told I had to sort it out myself with the repair company...not impressed.
The repair company caused further damage to my vehicle and didn't carry out the repair work correctly, causing paintwork to bubble up in certain areas where it was damaged. They then repaired some of the damage and caused further damage to my car in doing so. Diamond have basically had me doing all the running round and phoning to get the matter sorted. They leave automated messages and when you contact the number provided, it's an answer machine. The repair garage were just as useless and took large chunks out of the paintwork for testing, then gave my car back saying it was not their problem! An independent assessor came out and was just as useless. Everything I said was either ignored, or manipulated to suit not paying out for the damage. They're saying it's an inherent fault with the car!
Anyway, Diamond are now refusing to cover the additional repairs to my car, even though the repair company wrecked my car in order to test the paint. I'd taken it to a specialist and had it confirmed that the bubbled paintwork is down to bad workmanship from the repair company and this has made no difference. Diamond will take your money and run and will do everything they can to get out of paying you any money. Not only that the constant phone calls and visits to various garages have cost me a fortune.

Diamond are are far from being this girls best friend!
