Used them twice and had no problems yet. The way I use them is to see who sends the quotes, then check to see if there are any reviews of the "supplier" with a google search and secondly, check if they have a DECENT website with all adresses, contact numbers etc etc in place. I figure if the scrap yard payed out for a DECENT website(invested £1000+)to attract customers, then they are probably a lot less likely to be cowboys and most likely take their business dealings seriously. If there is no decent, well built website, then I simply don't respond to the quote. There are certainly suppliers to avoid on the site - just research the supplier first and if you are buying anything too expensive, maybe its worth getting the quotes and if interested, arriving at the suppliers location in person. 24/7 spares can be a nice cheap option, but like all cheap options there is a risk of disappointment. I would never risk more than £100 on remote purchases of this nature at a time myself - regardless of the supplier. If you are going to pay out any more than that seek your second hand spares locally and in person is my advise!
