Thank you all so much for your reviews was actually looking to download manual and stumbled across this. Same problem it seems, noticed fridge was warming up and food going off very quickly,so after reading all your reviews took the back panel off and YEP! there it was enough ice to keep a penguin happy. I do feel very cheated on this product, back to earth with a bang as it's back to defrosting again. Wish I'd read the reviews prior to buying:( Somebody in Hotpoint needs the sack ! self defrosting means just that because your left to youself to do it...
