My son got insurance from MCE 03/12/08 for £256, they were told that my son would probably be taking his car test and may cancel when he had and was told he would get a refund. He phoned them at the end of may 09(6 months)and was told to put it in writing. He waited 6 weeks and received nothing, so we phoned MCE only to be told that as they didn't received his letter until the 9th June this counted as another month on his insurance and due to admin fees he was not entitled to a refund, also to add insult to injury if they had received his letter before the 3rd June he would still would have only been entitled to a £22 refund, of which he still had got nothing because of an min £30 admin fee.After paying £256 I believe he should have received something and would not recommend dealing with such a poor and unreliable company that they are.
