Today-16.7.09-the Oxford Tube I was on was diverted. The driver didn't know the route and missed the turning at Baker St-a one way street that I amsure was clearly signposted as one way. My journey was 10am Oxford Gloc green to Marble Arch 1pm approx. Shouldn't Stagecoach Bus drivers have clear maps of possible diversions that they can study at their route's bus stops if need be. I was attempting to give him directions and found him very unpleasant when he missed the Baker St turn. That it was one way must have been clearly signposted plus I didn't realize his knowledge of the geography of Central London was that bad. On my return journey I complained to the Contoller at Victoria. I found him extremelly unpleasant-this was at about 3.30-3.45pm. He kept asking me if I had ever made a mistake and to think back over the years and that I must have made a mistake. It struck me that this wasn't the issue. I also complained about the driver calling me sweatheart and another of your staff occassionally calling me darling. I am 57 and find such terms patronizing. Your controller seemed to think such terms are fine and reflect the area the person comes from. The fact I find it patronizing was just ignored. I found the Controller stood far to close plus he didn't bother to apologise for the fact that my day had been ruined. The driver bothered to apologize.
