Booked from Record Rent a Car, a citroen berlingo or similar could have been renault kangoo or peugeot partner. Any of these would have been OK.
Arrived at the desk in malaga airport and paid and got keys. The lady on the desk said it was a peugeot partner which I thought "great no problem".
The next bit is a warning and might help some people out who book cars from the car hire desks at malage airport.
You must be aware that the desks are on the airport side of passport control and if you leave the car hire hall and proceed to the car park where the cars are kept you will not be allowed back into the airport if like me you find that the car is not actually the type they said it was at the desk.
We found out that the car was infact a peugeot 206 which was really not big enough for our needs.
Checking out the paper work that I signed at the desk it revealled that the car I had signed for was infact the peugeot 206 (my stupid mistake for not reading the paper work properly at the desk)
Could I get back into the car hire hall, no way. The hall is in passport controlled area. If like me you leave and later discover a problem you are stuck!
After trying to get back into the hall without success I decided that the best thing was to take the 206 and make the best of it.
It was not what I wanted or paid for but trying to sort it out would have taken hours.
The car had also done 108000 miles and kept on bleeping when going around corners, I think that the brake fliud was low and the warning lights kept flashing. So much for good safe rental cars!
I will not use this company again, also the charge for the full tank of fuel and return empty policy is totally unfair as I only used a quarter tank and paid for the full tank.
