I had two Air Arms Jackals back in the 80's. One was tuned at Streatham Armoury and was fitted with a fantastic silencer and scope, it was a great vermin controller!
The other was original and was a fantastic back garden gun and was used for ratting.
It took a while to get to grips with the military styling but it shouldered and handled VERY well indeed. The side-lever worked smoothly and the trigger was predictable and hey, it is a hunting/plinking weapon and not a target weapon.
I was gutted when they stolen during a burglary as I had owned them for many years and could not replace them.
