I wanted to adopt a cat having retired and living on my own. So I visited the Tameside animal shelter 2 years ago now and choose a female cat called Puddles(renamed Blossom). She was very loving and friendly and I knew instantly we would get on alright. She had been in a road accident some time in her life and lost her tail but that didnt seem to bother either of us. Took a couple of days to adjust to a new home and possibly new food but 2 years on and she is happy in the fields where I live and I wouldnt be without her, she is so good and well behaved. I now try to help the other cats in the shelter by calling in with some food now and again, I would still like to bring them all home if only I could.
