I bought this experience for two at New ID Burlingtons Manchester as a Christmas present for my stepdaughter and took her and her friend to Manchester after their GCSE exams finished in June. The girls adored being pampered, loved their new hair and felt a million dollars in the make-up. If we'd left then, they'd have looked back on it as a really fab day. Unfortunately, that's where it all went wrong - we hung around for ages and ages before the pics were taken and it was a good job I'd taken some food, or we would have had two fainting teenagers. As a result of all the waiting we had to leave before seeing our pics and were promised a contact sheet in the post. Despite lots of phone calls, nothing has arrived. The company has also been very sluggish at returning the 'deposit' (nobody explains what the 'deposit' is for - you pay for the experience beforehand and so, in theory, there shouldn't be a deposit, unless they are worried you are going to break a mirror?) and took money in advance for photos which, to date, we haven't received. I've now got two increasingly disappointed teenagers asking, on a daily basis, whether their photos have arrived and feel that I've completely let them down. One more week and the girls are going to get another life experience - taking a complaint to Trading Standards!
