Just returned and had quite possibly the best holiday of my life.
The Royal Viking staff were friendly, the food was good, the rooms were clean and we enjoyed the excursions (even though they meant early starts).
From what I have heard it is worth having the extra cost of drinks in order to go for a 5*.
