I was sold a sample piece of jewellery for £650 from links of london. It was only after it tarnished (2years later) that I decided to bring it back to get my answers. Customer services tried to charge me for the cleaning of the chain and posting it back to me which I never asked for. Finally, after more emails/calls I found out that actually the piece was plated gold and that the diamonds were not real either. Once I insisted on speaking with a manager I found out that I was sold a sample piece that got mixed up with the real jewellery. I was baffled how this was never found out in a stock check or that I was not contacted before. After weeks I finally got a replacement chain. They took it from their Archive- Ive yet to get it valued. I would highly recommend if you have ever bought a piece (especially in gold) that you get it valued otherwise I advise you to stay away!
