Well I have been using Avast on Window 7 for some times now. I did not know the reason exactly but my computer keeps on shutting down by itself, so I did some experiment on both software and hardware. As a result, it was unexpectedly maybe because of the my antivirus program. I uninstall it and using other software, well I did not restart again so clcearly because the program did not design for window 7 that's why it did not work properly.

I wouldn't be a good idea for window 7 users to install it on your software

    Yes your using Windows 7 RC (W7 is not available yet), a release candidate. (Which to those that don't know, is the stage after Beta testing). Maybe it is a flaw in the RC code or a compatibility with the execution prevention features of avast and W7 that lead to your problem. Besides if you care about security, you would not use a RC as a main OS as there are several proven un-patched flaws that can lead to remote code execution (hence Release candidate). Please just stop it. Wait for the true release and stop torrenting RC's and thinking you have the final product.

    To those that do care I am a British software engineer. Trust Avast it is truly fantastic for a free program, and I feel obliged to recommend. I was about to leave an enthusiastic comment from the impressions I have got, but I felt compelled to correct the "enthusiast" who left this comment above. W7Rc is not secure and comes with various bugs, beware.
