oh god, what can i say about perran sands?.you drive down a b road and turn right into perran sands, then another half mile over dozens of bone rattlinly high speed ramps which even at 2mph hurts...beter to carry the car...you get to the so called arrival area where you are greeted by caravans in sand dunes, over muddy unmade tracks to the door, sand sand everywhere, like being in the desert, then its miles to walk to perranporth, down a very steep hill...you could always do the desert rat route and trek across miles of dunes to the beach....at night its plagued by marauding badgers raiding bins..surprising really as the take away was not even as good quality as wetherspoons but was certainly twice the price.caravans are out of the ark, freezing cold and with showers made for snow whites dwarves...wont go there again, especially after the silly timne wasting game they play when you get TRY and get your key!!! and after a 350 mile car journey the last thing you need is a grown ups version of playschool......perranporth is gorgeous, and so is the watering hole....spoilt byb this dump which has no righ advertising as perranporth as its NOT in perranporth but outside it.....way outside it

The speed ramps were very necessary due to a lot of cars speeding.Dog walkers/children shoot out across these roads quite often, indeed we had a runner with a dog off the lead run straight out in front of us and had it not been for the speed ramps a nasty accident could have occured.

Badgers are part of the wildlife that one would expect when one goes camping(not sure how they would have raided the bins as the ones on the touring pitches were huge plastic industrial type.We sadly didn't see any badgers at all.Lots of seagulls,Crows and rabbits though.

We were delighted with the location and the beaches. The watering hole pub on the beach was in a fantastic location but very dirty toilets with no toilet paper on 3 seperate occasions that we went there :-(
