Bad Points

Web site crashes regularly so not always accessible to pay on line. Can't get through on phones, put on hold indefinitely at 10p per minute. Never a supervisor available if want to talk to someone who has more than a script.


General Comments

Once ASDA have sold you this credit card they absolve all responsibility if you have any problems and you have to try to deal with Indian Contact Centre if you can ever get through. Would take less time and expense to walk there!

They set up a monthly automatic direct debit of £5 to ensure payment wasn't missed. On one occasion had a balance of £53 to pay so paid £50 extra - total paid therefore should have been £55, over and above balance. However, they didn't take the £5 direct debit that month so charged me interest on the full amount due. When I finally got through to ask them why, they claimed if you pay before the £5 direct debit comes out it is cancelled. This is nonsense as has been proved so in subsequent months. However their customer care in Leeds at HQ won't deal with Financial Services complaints.
