Good Points

The flooring itself looks great. It is good quality and reasonably priced. The customer service was excellent when we actually purchasing the flooring, they couldn't do enough, but that was before they had our money.


Bad Points

The manager was rude and confrontational. The measurement service was never mentioned and they were more than happy to accept our measurements, calculate the area and advise on the number of packs we required before we handed over our money. When we tried to discuss the returns nothing was their problem, nothing was their responsibility.


General Comments

We recently purchased laminate flooring from floors-2-go. We received fast, friendly, helpful service and are delighted with the style and quality of the flooring now that it has been laid. We have just one problem; we have four unopened boxes of laminate left over - worth over £100.

We were more than a little surprised at the extent of the excess as the sales assistant advised us on the number of packs we required. Clearly he had made an error. We felt sure that if we explained this and returned the packs un-opened and in the same pristine condition in which we received them, there would be no problem. Not so.

The manager was dismissive and condescending. I have a degree in physics. The plan and dimensions provided were accurate. The only mistake we made was not double checking that the sales assistant had made the correct calculation.

The manager did offer us a £50 refund and a credit note for the rest, but what is anyone going to do with a credit note? Floors2go is a flooring company. They sell floors. We have just replaced the only floor in our house that required replacing. What can we possibly buy with this credit note?

If the packs were opened or damaged in some way or if we had no receipt, I could understand why they would refuse to refund. But this is not the case (and I have no doubt that these goods will be re-sold as soon as we agree to exchange them for a useless credit note).

It seems to me that floors2go returns policy benefits no one but themselves. The customers get poor advice from the staff; get palmed off with a credit note that they either do not use or end up being forced to buy more flooring to avoid losing the money they can redeem in no other way.

    We had exactly the same experience! The flooring looks good and was a fair price but we were sold too much of the product due to the error of the sales person. With a lot of rudeness and confrontational communication style, they refuse to refund the unopened packs. Wish we had seen your review BEFORE we purchased from Floors 2 Go!

    Hi, I had problem where they worked out sizes & sold us 3 packs short! Now the laminate is out of stock & they say no more arriving, so we cannot finish floor.
