General Comments

I was so pleased to purchase a suite of 2 Double Hoppen Wardrobes with the frosted glass doors from Ikea...Whilst I am pleased with them more so if this problem had not occurred I find their customer service ...the after care we all depend upon to be abysmal.
After 13 months ...just outside the usual warranty period ...I observed the glass in one of the doors had slipped consequential of the door surround having separated at the joint on the bottom corner ? They are heavy and having seapated I was unable to open the door due it scarping along the floor ?
This has serious safety implications given the size of the door made up predominently of Glass ? I duly brought this to the attention of IKEA who showed total disregard due age of product ? I contested this stating surely one should expect such a product to give better service than this and suggested it was a manufacturing fault with the adhesive used being unable to support the weight of the glass ? Duty Of Care reinforced my argument but still the reaction and response I received fell short of expectations.
It is now the case that all 4 doors have developed the same problem and I am seriously considering a claim against IKEA in the small claims court ? This is the first time I have had to go back to IKEA and my experience supports a view that should when they are needed most to correct a faulty product they are not there which is disappointing.
