Good Points

The crew were ever so apologetic and couldn't say sorry enough.


Bad Points

BA treated us as if nothing had happened. In fact the woman at customer services when i went to renew my flight connection boarding pass made light of the fact of what we had been throught the past 48 hours. I made my point to her that i was on a very short fuse at that point and was willing tio rip someones head off !
At this moment i have not received any thing in a way of an apology from British Airways.


General Comments

BA 288 Pheonix to Heathrow.
Just heard that the 747 had to be evacuated before take off because of smoke in the cabin.
This is a jinxed flight ( BA288 ).
The reason i say this is because on the 23 June 09, i was on board this flight and it was one disaster after the other.
First of all, the No 3 engine would not start and we finished up staying an extra night in Phoenix.
Next day, we kept getting told that the flight would leave but it kept getting delayed until we boarded at 3 pm.
We sat onboard for nearly 3 hours because US Immigration would not let 2 passengers onboard.
During this time the APU which runs the air conditioning broke down - and yes we had passingers by that time who wanted to get off and therefore that mean't their luggage had to be taken off as well.
Eventually, we took to the air and after an uneventual flight approached Heathrow at 06:30 on the 25 June.
Unfortunately, as we were about to touch down the pilot had to abort the landing as the aircraft in front of us was slow at exiting the runway. So after another circuit and 20 minutes we finally made it to the terminal. The paramedics were waiting though, someone had taken a bad turn.
