Good Points

Seemed like a good product.

Bad Points

Very hard sell (only two & half hours so think we got off lightly compared to some of the other stories.

General Comments

Well where to start, pretty much the same story as everyone else has about living in a good area & kept banging on about what a good corner plot we are on which would generate hundreds of sales blah blah.

First Zenith Staybrite Windows quoted for 7 windows, front door & patio doors totalling £18,000 phew you've got no chance we said, ahh but there are reductions I can give you, (having board up, taking out finance & various other things) and after a few so called calls got it down to £10,000 still too high so forgot about patio doors which were a ridiculous price & the front door we picked was apparently £3,000 alone so we picked a cheaper door & again got the price down to £7,000. So it was now 9 pm & my daughter was ready for bed so my husband agreed & signed all the paperwork & sorted the finance out which he was really pushing for us to take up, which of course he said we would no doubt pay off quicker so de creasing the interest charges, so we would owe a total of £7,000 for the windows & a further £7,500 in interest in total over 8 years nearly £15,000. He shook both our hands & skipped out the door. I of course went straight onto the internet to check these people out & came to this website first & low & behold as I suspected we had been taken for a ride but the windows were of good quality but over priced.

My husband called them next day & said that I had some bad news at work & had to reduce my hours so we could not afford the windows now, "no problem" he said I shall send someone round that evening to sign some cancellation papers but I suspected that would not be the end of it & guess what I was right. The same gentleman returned & said he was sorry about our news & started to fill out the cancellation form but then he asked what could we afford monthly we said nothing & would like to leave it for a year, he made a call & they reduced to £5,000 we said no thank you then what about just the front of the house & then I put in what about 0% finance (thinking I may be chancing it) but no they did agree to it but we still declined, then what about just the front door we still said no, him & his colleague came up with a price just for the door even after saying no to him. After half an hour of this we were pretty fed up & I laid it on about how we was going to manage & I had just received the bad news that day & had not even discussed with my husband how we was going to manage but he still kept trying obviously not that bothered by my bad news & after a few more stern NO's he got the message packed up & left straight away without shaking our hands this time (what a surprise & good riddance).

If you have the money up front I would go for these windows & of course haggling them down on the price that you think is right but apart from that I would stay well clear of them.
