Good Points

Powered roof smooth and quick even after 12 years (probably very little use though, being a UK car)
Fuel economy incredible for a 2.3 - up to 44MPG on runs, averaging 38 overall. Never known a 2L+ car get close to it before.
Smooth, quiet engine - pulls nicely through all gears.
VERY comfortable seats and overall ride - this car really is a mile eater.
Surprisingly good boot space for a boot-stowed convertible.

Bad Points

Leather not particularly good quality - very badly cracked, far worse than any I've seen in a car of this age/mileage.
Car stereo 'mated' to CD changer, so you're expected to pay £400 for £100 worth of replacement.(relatively easy to change to aftermarket though, so not a major negative)

General Comments

I tend to change cars on a regular basis, so get to drive a fair range from many manufacturers. I'm seldom 'awestruck' by a car, but the Saab 900 was a real eye-opener. I'd liked the Convertible since it came out, so when I saw a 97 for £1000 on eBay I couldn't resist.

Shockingly good car, would recommend to anyone without hesitation
