Good Points

Confort, very high quality of used materials, handling (especially cornering at high speeds), sound system and exceptionall off-road capabilities.

Bad Points

German electronics which equip my car is execrable (like in all the german cars comparing with the japanese). I have all the time little annoyances (doors lockers open ans close in driving, a faulty bit error with EAS, the tailgaite opens depending the BECM wish) but they are erratic and no really dangerous.

General Comments

I have a Range Rover 2,5 dse from 2001 and 251.358 km on board.
In this years was necessary to change: radiator (~300 euro), air springs (~275 euro), brake pads (~1000 euro), brake disks - front and rear (~200 euro), filters - air, pollen, oil, fuel (300 euro), battery (~50 euro), and few lamps, all about 2000 euro. All parts are OEM from Bearmach UK. Oil and fuel is not calculated.
For me is nothing in 8 years and a sttagering 250.000 km.
I have three friends with Toyota Land Cruiser (no. 1 for reliability in reviews).
All three are spent over 10,00 euros each for replacing various parts, including transfer gearbox, rear differential, clutches, injection system, all the bushes etc. in less than five years and no more than 120.000 km. They are very jealous on me and my car.
And for good reason, because my Range Rover is not only more reliable but it beats all, equally on-road and mainly off-road (where is the King).
I don't know why the people here tells these frightening stories, because I know another 50 owners of Range Rover P38 and all are very satisfied with their cars and, most notably with their reliability in years and kilometers.
I believe this people are not comparing their Range Rover with nothing and I see they are use the cars only few tousand kilometers and a couple of years. It is not revealing.
